About this park
Tucked into the quiet East Yorkshire village of Barmston and just a short stroll from Barmston Beach itself, our retreat opens onto a long stretch of unspoilt sand and shingle on the Holderness coast. Coast on one side, open countryside teeming with wildlife on the other — the chimneys of the village pub and parish church the only landmarks on the horizon. A real sense of being somewhere you can finally exhale.
Each lodge comes with its own private hot tub, set on a deck framed by warm festoon lighting — perfect for stargazing once the evening rolls in. On site you’ll find dedicated parking right at your lodge, a friendly reception, and a play area for younger guests, all set among mature greenery. A self-contained little world that’s quiet by design.
With the beach on your doorstep, you can swap morning coffee for a barefoot walk on the sand and be back at the hot tub before lunch. Head north and Bridlington’s promenade and harbour are minutes away — fish and chips by the sea, the kind of thing Yorkshire does best. Within easy reach beyond that: the dramatic chalk cliffs and lighthouse of Flamborough Head, the puffin colonies at RSPB Bempton, the seaside charm of Filey and Scarborough, and the historic streets of Beverley and York. Inland, the rolling Yorkshire Wolds offer some of the country’s most under-the-radar walking and cycling.
Whether your plan is long coastal hikes, a round of golf at one of the nearby clubs, or simply doing very little from the warmth of your hot tub, this is a retreat that bends to the pace you want to keep.
